Griffin Strout

Griffin Strout is a music director, pianist, conductor, orchestrator and copyist based in New York City.
Most recently, he served as the music assistant and a Keys 2 sub for The Big Gay Jamboree. Other recent credits include: Titanic (Encores! at NYCC, Rehearsal pianist), Beauty and the Beast (City Springs Theater, MD), and Holiday Inn (College Light Opera Company, MD). An avid arranger and orchestrator, Griffin's work has been performed at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space and Princeton University. Passionate about new work, he has orchestrated several full-length original shows and led developmental workshops and readings as a music director at Amas Musical Theater and The York Theatre Company.
Griffin is a graduate of Yale University, where he served as an accompanist for the Yale School of Drama (YSD) and the Shen Curriculum for Musical Theater, and acted as the music director for numerous student productions.
